How to Find a Newsletter Template

Newsletters can be used for many purposes. For example, you can use them for personal reasons, such as a family newsletter or a Christmas newsletter. You can also use them for business purposes, staff communication, customer communication or client communication. Newsletters can also allow you to chronicle a series of events when you write them monthly, bimonthly, quarterly or annually. Just follow these few steps to a new way to give information.

  • Computer with Internet access and a comfortable chair
  1. Step 1

    Decide what kind of newsletter you want by determining the target audience of your newsletter. For example, you might choose a Christmas newsletter, employee newsletter, school newsletter, classroom newsletter, email newsletter, or business newsletter.

  2. Step 2

    Open a document in Microsoft Word. This can be found by clicking on your "Start" button and then clicking on "Microsoft Word Document."

  3. Step 3

    Click on "File" after the Microsoft Word document opens, and then click on "New." You will see a search box on the right side.

  4. Step 4

    Locate the search option's online section on the right side of your screen and type in "newsletter."

  5. Step 5

    Press "Enter" to allow the program to bring up the newsletter you selected.

  6. Step 6

    Search the results. These will vary, but you will have plenty of templates to choose from.

  7. Step 7

    Choose a template that best suits your needs.

  8. Step 8

    Download the template to your computer and start typing the information you want to convey in the newsletter.

  9. Step 9

    Spell-check your newsletter, then print and mail it or hand it out.

  • Some desktop publishing software programs include newsletter templates. These can be very user-friendly.
  • Newsletters are great ways to keep a group of people informed with a personal touch.
  • It's always nice to include pictures when using a newsletter for personal or professional use.
