How to Install a Quick Exhaust Valve on a Smart Parts Ion Paintball Gun

- Allen wrenches
- Ion quick exhaust valve
- Phillips head screwdriver
Instructions

1
Remove the following parts from your smart parts ion paintball gun: air sources, paintballs, hopper and barrel.
-
2
Take out 2 of the screws holding the grip on. Then unhook and remove the battery from the gun.

3
Unscrew the 2 silver screws holding the grip frame to the paintball gun body. Also remove the black screw that is visible from the top of the ion where the barrel attaches.

4
Separate the body from the grip frame carefully. Remove the front banjo fitting with an allen wrench to separate the 2 pieces fully.

Tips & Warnings
Be careful not to over tighten the banjo fittings. They should be attached snugly.
The board and wiring are somewhat fragile. Do not force any parts or you may damage them.
Working on a paintball gun that is pressurized is dangerous and you could be hurt.
When you separate the body from the grip the battery wire can get tangled inside the grip frame. If it does it can break off the board. Which means your ion will need service by a professional.
