How to Make Beer Margaritas

Here is a fun recipe that is sure to please any summer barbecue crowd. Beer margaritas are light, refreshing and super simple to make. Have a pitcher on hand at your next gathering.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 12 oz. can or bottle of light beer
  • 12 oz. container of frozen lime-aid concentrate (partially thawed)
  • Splash of Triple Sec
  • Tequila
  • Fresh oranges, lemons or limes
  • Pitcher with glasses
  • Spoon
  • Cocktail salt
  • Ice

Step1
Pour the beer into your pitcher. Doing this first will ensure that the beer will not fizz over.
Step2
Add the partially thawed lime-aid and incorporate it with the beer.
Step3
Stir in tequila, about three shots is a safe amount. Add more or less to your preference.
Step4
Put in a few splashes of Triple Sec and finish off with plenty of ice. Give it a final stir.
Step5
Use the fresh citrus fruit to coat the top of the glass and twist into cocktail salt. Finish the glass off with a wedge of citrus fruit.

Tips & Warnings

  • This recipe is to make beer margaritas over ice but you can certainly prepare this frozen in the blender with ice.
  • Add a few slices of citrus fruit to the pitcher of margaritas for a festive look.
