How to Use Excel Shortcuts With the Keyboard
The mouse was a great invention to navigate around the computer, but the keyboard is still the most efficient way to work, especially in Microsoft Excel. Literally hundreds of shortcuts exist using the keyboard. Learning to utilize keyboard shortcuts for actions performed on a regular basis is much faster than working with the mouse. Basic knowledge of Excel may be required to understand and follow some of the steps.

Move to the beginning of a row by pressing the Home key. Move to the beginning of the worksheet by pressing the Ctrl+Home keys simultaneously. This will move to the desired location without highlighting the cells.

Highlight cells by using the "Shift+arrow" keys. Use the appropriate arrow key to move in the direction you need highlighted and every cell between the first and last cell will be selected. Use Ctrl+Shift+arrow to jump to the end of a series of data in any direction and highlight everything in between.

Select a cell and then press Ctrl+spacebar to highlight the entire column or Shift+spacebar to highlight the entire row.

Navigate between multiple worksheets by using shortcuts. Press Ctrl+Page Up to move to the next worksheet to the left, or Ctrl+Page Down to move to the next worksheet to the right.

Undo what you accidentally typed into a cell by pressing "Esc" while still within the cell and the original data will re-appear.

Display the Microsoft Office clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C twice. You can then start using the clipboard to store anything you copy.

Tips & Warnings
Some functions are faster with a combination of the keyboard and mouse, so don't completely rule out the mouse for shortcuts.
