Things You'll Need:
- CD player
- DJ (optional)
- CDs
-
Step 1
Know what activities the evening has in store. If you anticipate a night of heavy drinking and male bonding, select some good old-fashioned rock and roll. If you plan to have a visit from an exotic dancer as part of the bachelor party festivities, music with a more sensual, adult theme might work better.
-
Step 2
Ask the groom what kind of music he likes and accommodate his preferences. After all, it's his party!
-
Step 3
Hire a professional DJ for the event, if it's of a larger scale and your bachelor party budget can handle one. Any decent DJ will have a large enough collection of music to handle whatever requests might come his way. Just make sure you select a DJ who specializes in the type of music you prefer, whether that be rock, country or another style.
-
Step 4
Make a list of songs you want to have played at the bachelor party and go online to hunt them down. Apple.com's iTunes store (see Resources below) has just about everything you might need, from chart-topping hits to obscure numbers. Burn the songs onto CDs to give to the DJ or the emcee.
-
Step 5
Run the final song list or choice of DJ by the groom-to-be before making any irreversible commitments. If you have activities planned (and music to go along with them) that you'd rather save as a surprise, you have a good opportunity to have some fun with the groom-to-be by completely misleading him! Bachelor parties are meant to be fun, so have a good time!
