Select Party Games for Large Groups

  1. Step 1

Help large groups of people get to know each other by playing a game of Secrets. Ask each guest to tell you a little known fact about themselves and compile them on a list with a blank next to each. Hand the lists out to the other guests and see who figures out to whom each secret belongs the fastest. The person with the most correct answers at the end of the party can win a special prize.

  2. Step 2

Play a game of murder and intrigue by setting up a Wink Murder game at your party. Select one guest as the detective and have them leave the room. The remaining guests then select the murderer among them. When the detective returns, the murderer kills three of the guests by winking at them, who let out screams as they "die." The detective then has three guesses to figure out who the murderer is.

  3. Step 3

Shout out Bingo! when you have five across on your bingo sheet. This classic game is ideal for large groups seated at multiple tables. A caller must be selected or hired and depending on the size of the group, a microphone may be required when calling out the Bingo numbers.

  4. Step 4

Plan an evening of card games such as rummy or spades. With a large group of people you can play tournament style, with multiple games being played at several different tables.

  5. Step 5

Play a guessing game such as charades or Pictionary by dividing the group up into teams. Depending on the size, you may have two or more groups with at least three or more players in each.

  6. Step 6

Get your guests' minds working by playing a word game such as Fictionary. Here your guests must try to guess the correct definition for a truly obscure word. Use an unabridged dictionary to find a greater selection of terms.

Tips & Warnings
  • Rent game equipment such as bingo game supplies from a party rental store instead of investing in it. This is an economical way to bring a popular game to your next party.
