Even if it's raining outside, there's no reason you can't have fun indoors with party games that will bring laughter to your next get together. Whether you have a group of kids or a bunch of adults, you can find games that will keep them entertained no matter what the weather is outside.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Paper bags
  • Jar
  • Scented items such as coffee beans, pepper, flowers
  • Candy or marbles
  • Balloons

Select Indoor Party Games

Step1
Blow up some balloons and play any variety of games. You can divide the guests into teams of two and create a relay where one player must grab a balloon out of a bag and bring it back to the other player who must then pop it without using his hands. You can also play a game to see who can keep a balloon in the air the longest by bouncing it off of her head.
Step2
Play a guessing game using common food items such as coffee beans and ground pepper or even flowers. Place the items in paper bags or under a table cloth and have your blindfolded guests smell each one. The guest who gets the most correct answers wins a prize.
Step3
Fill a jar with jellybeans or marbles and invite your guests to guess how many are in it. The guest with the guess closest to the correct answer will win the jar and its tasty or fun contents!
Step4
Divide your guests into two groups for a memory game of "Switch." In one group, each member exchanges a single piece of clothing and then returns to the room where the second group must figure out which items have been switched. The roles are reversed to allow the first group to try their memory powers. The group with the most correct answers is the winner!
Step5
Select an indoor party game such as Charades for older party guests. One member from each team must silently act out a word or phrase while the other members of their team try to figure it out. You can write suggestions for words on slips of paper or allow your guests to come up with their own. Impose a time limit on the guessing to keep the competition moving.

Tips & Warnings

  • Indoor games can be played in any space, no matter how big or small. Just keep in mind the number of guests and the amount of room required when you select more active games such as relays.
