Select Teambuilding Party Games

Step1
Divide your office personnel into teams of three or more. Depending on the number of games you plan on playing, you can have the teams trade members or stay in their original groups throughout the course of the party.
Step2
Get your personnel thinking about efficiency and cooperation when you play "Toxic Waste." In this game, each team must transport a bucket of "toxic waste" (which can be colored water or goo) to a "neutralizing" bucket. They must develop a system of transport with ropes or bungee cords without handling the toxic bucket with their hands.
Step3
Encourage creative thinking by having your teams come up with different ways to protect a raw egg when it is dropped from a height of 5 feet or more. You can provide each team with a different kind of cushioning material such as bubble wrap or other supplies such as tape. They must now negotiate with other teams to get the supplies they will need to provide a safe cushioned landing for their egg.
Step4
Bring out the expressive artist in your staff by producing a company art project. Teams or individuals can work on individual posterboards which express different aspects of your company's goal. At the end of the party, compile the posterboards together to create a mosaic of the company's mission statement.
Step5
Select a balloon relay game to get your team moving. Different variations can include popping balloons without using your hands and can incorporate aspects of cooperation and sportsmanship to create a more unified workforce.

Tips & Warnings

  • The success of any teambuilding game depends on the person who acts as the facilitator or host. If you don't want to take this role on yourself, you can hire an individual trained in the art of creating a challenging teambuilding experience.
