Instructions

Mustang Power Wheels Styles and Features

  1. Step 1

Search for the latest Mustang Power Wheels models on the Power Wheels Web site (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Choose the bright pink Barbie Ford Mustang. This car features speed controls with locks to help beginner drivers limit their speed.

  3. Step 3

Own a red Mustang convertible? Let your child hop in the driver's seat in their own red version of this classic car. The original Ford Mustang from Power Wheels has Mustang detailing including the horse grill and chrome wheels to enhance the look.

  4. Step 4

Select a sporty blue Mustang Power Wheels. The details include white stripes, a seat that adjusts for growing kids, two driving speeds and a high-speed lock.

  5. Step 5

Try your local Toys "R" Us store for products (see Resources below). Many Power Wheels models and items are sold exclusively at Toys "R" Us.

  6. Step 6

Consider an older model Mustang Power Wheels toy. Vintage models can be found on eBay (see Resources below). If you select a Mustang Power Wheels style made before 1998, ask the seller about model recall information and repairs.

  7. Step 7

Find up to date recall information at the Mattel Consumer Relations Web site (see Resources below).

  8. Step 8

Purchase an extra rechargeable battery for your Power Wheels Mustang. Battery chargers can also be replaced easily at Power Wheels retailers and online. Select the correct voltage to avoid battery malfunction and potential fires.

Tips & Warnings
  • Let children be a part of the selection process. Allow them to peruse the Power Wheels Web site or take them to the store and let them shop.
  • Supervise children, especially when they are learning to ride a Power Wheels ride-on toy. Small children should have the speed locked to the lowest setting until they have mastered driving safely.
