Showcase Your Dollhouse With Style
-
1
Start simple. Your home is the first and easiest choice for showcasing your dollhouse. Dedicate an entire room to displaying it, if you have the space. If not, find a prominent area of a room that gets heavy pedestrian traffic and place your dollhouse there.
-
2
Invest in a pretty table and/or lighting. An attractive table on which to set your dollhouse will enhance the overall image of the house. Special lighting for the corner of the room where you have placed the dollhouse will also create a museum-like feel for your display. You can find a table and lighting at most department stores and building supply stores.

Take your dollhouse on the road. Most miniature shows have exhibits of showcase dollhouses that enthusiasts have created. If you would like your dollhouse to have a larger audience than the one in your living room, displaying it at a miniature show is a good option.
-
4
Find a miniature show. Look in your local newspaper's Living section or visit Dollhouse Miniatures Magazine.com online to find listings for upcoming miniature shows where you can display your dollhouse (see Resources below). Dollhouse miniature shows are held across the country on a regular basis, so your chances of finding one near you are pretty high.
-
5
Make arrangements for your house to be displayed at the miniature show. Once you have found a listing for a miniature show where you would like your house to be showcased, call the organizers of the show and ask what it will take for your house to be exhibited there.

Tips & Warnings
When transporting your dollhouse to a miniature show, make sure it is well secured in your vehicle. Packing it in a box with ample packing material surrounding it to keep it immobile is best.
Be sure to remove the furniture before packing the dollhouse. You should pack the furniture separately and set it up once you get to the show.
