1. Decide what size pool noodle you want. Pool noodles come in a variety of lengths and widths. Most pool noodles are at least 58 inches long and have a width from 2.5 inches to 4 inches. The wider the pool noodle the more weight it can successfully float. Likewise, longer noodles can wrap around larger people.
2. Choose between foam pool noodles and inflatable pool noodles. The most common pool noodles are made of a durable, flexible foam. Inflatable pool noodles are great for travel because they can be easily deflated and packed in a small space.
