There are probably an infinite number of ways to make someone feel something without actually touching someone by manipulating either solids, liquids, or gasses. However, very few ways to make someone feel something without doing this.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Person
  • Finger
  • Pencil

Step1
Retrieve a pencil or use your own finger and retrieve another person.
Step2
Inform the person to look you straight in your eyes while telling them to keep their head still.
Step3
Hold the pencil or your finger squarely between their eyebrows or near their frontal lobe close enough so that the person can not see the end of the pencil or your finger and hold it parallel to the ground and getting it as close to the person as possible.
Step4
Gently shake horizontally (closer to the person, then farther away), vibrate the pencil back and forth and the person should feel a strange sensation.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try not to touch the person you are performing this trick on with the pencil or your finger
  • This does not work on all people and might not work every time if not performed properly.
  • This trick has to do with tricking the brain, specifically the frontal lobe, and eventually it will stop working on people who know what is going on and know the pencil(finger) isn't going to actually touch them.
