How to clean white wallpaper in the bathroom.
2 ways to do it with things you normally have at home.Paper,(nonwashable wallpaper),and also a solution for washable wallpaper.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baking Soda,Bleach,sponge,papertowels,vacuumcleaner,old toothbrush,dishwashing liquid,protective gloves
  1. Step 1

Collect everything you need first, and bring it with you.

  2. Step 2

Whether the wallpaper is made out of Paper(non-washable) or coated(washable) vacuum clean the walls thoroughly.

  3. Step 3

    If you have non-washable wallpaper:
Wet the sponge in lukewarm water, and wring it out well.Dip it in a tray of (dry!) Baking Soda, and pat the mixture gently onto the walls. If it dont "stick",try to dampen the wall VERY SLIGHTLY with the sponge, before dipping the sponge in the Bakingsoda..(dont wet the wallpaper though.)Let it sit,do not wipe off.Repeat, until the whole wall is covered in a thin layer of baking soda.

If you have coated, washable wallpaper, mix 1 cup Bleach in a bucket of warm water.Use the sponge to gently wipe off the walls with the bleach mixture.Let sit a few seconds, and wipe off with a clean (white!) rag or towel. You may need to repeat this after the walls have dried completely,in case you missed a spot or two.

  4. Step 4

For the paper(non-washable)walls,that now are covered in bakingsoda, let sit until completely dry, then use a soft brush to rub it around a bit,and finally vacuumclean the whole wall again, thoroughly.

For the washable walls, you should be done.Just make sure you got all the surface evenly cleaned, some areas require more work than others.

Tips & Warnings
  • For the Paper(nonwashable)walls, use Bakingsoda on a damp toothbrush,to gently rub off spots, before doing the whole wall as suggested.Any white color you may rub off by mistake, can be patched with a dab of white toothpaste: use your fingertip to dab it in place.Nobody will know ;)
  • For the washable walls, clean spots with dishwashing liquid on a toothbrush, before continuimg to do the whole wall with your bleach solution..
  • For the nonwashable wallpaper:
  • Keep that sponge barely damp, just enough to hold the bakingsoda on it.Do not get the walls wet,it may losen your wallpaper.
  • For washable walls:Wear protective gloves.that bleach can be strong on your skin, even diluted.Keep windows open, and a fan going, while you clean the walls. While the bleach solution is working to clean your walls, the fumes can irritate your eyes and lungs.
