Ok the first step is to find out what the dog is biting. If it is biting you, then heres what you do. This may seem cruel but it is how most people I know do it. You must take your hand and put it in the dogs mouth. Yes, in the dogs mouth. I know that is completely against what your thinking but just do it. Then when the dog bites down put your pointer and your thumb at the corner of its mouth and push in. Now it is effectivly biting itself. This will, when done enough, stop it from biting people in fear of biting itself.

If your dog is biting things that you really don't want him/her to bite, then there is a few things you can do. One is that you can do the thing that is detailed above. Just do this whenever they start biting what you don't want them to bite. Or there is another thing. In some pet stores, but not all, there is a type of spray that you can spray on things. It has no odor, or if it does it is like apple or something. You spray this on whatever the dog is chewing on that you don't want it to. This has a very bad taste and will prevent the dog from chewing on it without having an extremely bad taste in there mouth. That is how you keep dogs from biting.
Tips & Warnings
DO NOT SPRAY THE SPRAY ON VALUABLES! I do not know what the effect would be.
The dog's teeth may cause some minor injury with the first method. This might happen, but do not be discouraged.
