If you have kids chances are (if you haven't already) you will have color crayon end up inside your clothes dryer at some point in your life. Don't fret!! Here is what you can do...
The first thing you will need to do is UNPLUG YOUR DRYER. Then take a dry rag and wipe the inside of your dryer... this is to remove lose particles and collect any dust that may be in there.
Step2
Spray the WD-40 solution on your rag... DO NOT spray directly into the dryer as this could cause electrical problems... make sure you use extreme caution if using a gas dryer.
Step3
Begin to scrub at the wax marks in the dryer... they should come up fairly easily, but, depending on how bad the damage is you may need to scrub hard and apply more WD-40 to your rag periodically.
Step4
Once all of the wax is cleaned take a CLEAN rag and dampen it with water and wash the inside of the dryer... this will remove any excess WD-40 in your dryer.
Step5
As a safety precaution allow your dryer to remain OPEN to air dry for 24 hours after the cleaning before plugging it back in and using it.
Tips & Warnings
WD-40 is a widely-used penetrating oil (cleaner, lubricant and anti-corrosive solution), it can be purchased at most grocery or hardware stores at an inexpensive price.
WD-40 is flammable so use caution. Do NOT spray on or near the pilot light.
