Things You'll Need:
- Patience
- Memories
- Some writing ability
-
Step 1
Write truthfully and be honest with your audience. Also be honest with yourself about things you did that you weren't proud of. Write about what you learned from those actions. They will respect you more if you are honest.
-
Step 2
Write about friends, relationships and your schooling. Write anything that you remember as being significant to you in your teen years.
-
Step 3
This may be a good place to mention and thank adults who had an impact on your life such as teachers or church members.
-
Step 4
Write about how you became an adult. Were you emancipated? Did you turn 18 or 21?
-
Step 5
Write about when you first considered yourself an adult. Write about when others first considered you an adult.
-
Step 6
Write about what you did when you became an adult. Did you have a party? Did you move out?
-
Step 7
Write about things you wish you had known before you became an adult and what you would have done differently if you had known.
