How to Find an Episcopal Church

Not every community has an Episcopal church. If you're traveling or have just moved into a new area, it can be frustrating when you're trying to find an Episcopal church to attend Sunday services. Luckily, it's not as hard to find a church as you may think.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Look online. The Episcopal Church has a very user-friendly Web site that can tell you where to find a church near you. It also has information about the church itself, its beliefs, structure and more.
Step2
Flip through a local phone book. It might seem a bit old fashioned, but the phone book is a great resource. Look in the book's "Churches" section. If there's an Episcopal church in your area, it should be listed.
Step3
Talk with locals. Ask your neighbors, friends or family if they know of any Episcopal churches in the area. Often, they'll know the inside scoop on what's available in the area.
Step4
Attend a service. The best way to get a feel for a congregation is to experience it yourself. Drop in on Sunday and join in the service. Talk with others in the congregation or introduce yourself to the clergy. If the church fits your needs, you can stop your search.

on 12/8/2007 Remember, in a foreign country, we're talking about the Anglican Church. When traveling and living in St. Maarten and also on St. Thomas, that was the church we attended. Good luck and God bless.
