How to Find a Baptist Church

One of the first things many people look for when they move to a new area is church family. It can be confusing to sort through the different names and denominations, but with a little determination you'll have a new congregation in no time.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Check online. There are search engines online that search nationwide for Baptist churches. There are even sites that search for specific types of Baptist churches. Check the resources section for links to those sites.
Step2
Flip through the phone book. Look under the "Churches" section. Find a Baptist church that either matches the denomination you prefer or one that is nearby.
Step3
Ask friends and family if they know of any good churches in your area. Sometimes they will be able to refer you to a local Baptist church.
Step4
Visit more than one church. If you have developed a list of possible churches or even if you just drive by and want to check it out, stop in and see what you think. Attend a service, talk to the pastor and get a feel for the place. Do the same thing at other local churches and pick the one that's right for you.
