How to Make Homemade Baby Wipes

Want to lower that bill at the grocery store? Well, by following these quick and easy instructions you can save some of your hard earned cash and have the satisfaction of making your own baby wipes. Most likely, all of the ingredients are already in your cabinets at home.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups water
  • Thick, strong paper towels
  • Sharp knife
  • 1 tablespoon baby oil
  • 2 tablespoons baby wash or shampoo
  • Plastic container with a tight sealing lid
  1. Step 1

    Boil 2 cups of water. Let Cool.

  2. Step 2

    While the water is cooling, cut one roll of paper towels in half with knife. Use half of the paper towels and take out the core so wipes pull out through the center of the container.

  3. Step 3

    Mix water, baby oil and baby wash.

  4. Step 4

    Put paper towels in container.

  5. Step 5

    Poor the mixture over the paper towels and then let set for ten minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Turn the wipes over to insure even distribution of mixture.

Tips & Warnings
  • Decorate the container for fun.
  • Makes an interesting baby shower gift. Make sure to include the recipe.
  • Save the leftover half roll of paper towels for next time.
  • A sharp serrated knife works best for cutting through the paper towels.
  • Make sure the lid seals tightly so the wipes do not dry out.
