How to Make Homemade Ice Pops

While purchasing Popsicles at the grocery store is convenient, making them at home is much more fun. It also lets parents control the sugar content, and at the same time, save money. It is a fun project to do with the kids anytime, summer or winter. All you need are these few items, and you are ready to make some indoor fun, rain or shine! Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Wooden craft sticks
  • Juice
  • Plastic wrap (or foil)
  • Paper cups (smallest size)

Instructions

    • 1

      Fill cup about 3/4 full with your favorite juice.

      Put some plastic wrap over the cup.

    • 3

      Poke a craft stick through the plastic wrap and into the cup as a handle.

    • 4

      Place the cup in the freezer and leave it at least 5 hours.

      Pop out your homemade ice pop and enjoy your delicious treat!

Tips & Warnings

  • Try cranberry juice, root beer or even orange juice!

  • Foil works just as well in place of plastic wrap.
