How to Make a "V" Scroll With Paper Quilling
Paper quilling has enjoyed resurgence in recent years, finding a niche in card making and scrapbooking. Quilling has existed for at least 500 years and is a simple yet elaborate craft. With the basic tools and a supply of quilling paper, it is a craft most anyone can do. Scrolls and coils are the two basic shapes. A "V" Scroll can be used as feelers on a quilled caterpillar, bumblebee or butterfly or can be used in an alternating pattern for a unique border.

The V scroll can be bent the other way to create a heart scroll. Glue the two facing coils together to keep the heart shape.
To create the Quotation scroll, recreate the "V" scroll but make sure the coils curl the same direction then pinch the middle. One coil will be on the outside of the "V" and one will be on the inside.
