It is nice to receive a card from a friend, wishing you a speedy recovery, when you are sick and not feeling well. It is even nicer to receive a handmade card, made especially for you. This cute card features a tissue box with a real tissue and a sweet sentiment. Keep a stock of these handy cards ready to mail whenever you hear of an ill friend or family member.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scissors
  • Coordinating patterned paper
  • Foam tape
  • Pen
  • Tape
  • Pastel cardstock
  • Tissue
  1. Step 1

Fold a piece of pastel cardstock in half. Make sure your card will fit in a standard envelope.

  2. Step 2

Coordinate a piece of patterned paper to the card. This paper will be the tissue box.

  3. Step 3

Cut the patterned paper into a medium size rectangle. Make sure it will fit on your card face.

  4. Step 4

Trim away the top left corner and the bottom right corner, to make it appear as a cube.

  5. Step 5

Fold a crease from the bottom right corner up to the top and from the top left corner across to the right edge. This should help the rectangle look more like a cube.

  6. Step 6

Cut a small line near the top of the box for the tissue to pop out of.

  7. Step 7

Tear a small piece of tissue from a real tissue and tuck into the cut slit. Tape to the back to secure.

  8. Step 8

Attach the tissue box and tissue to the front of the card using foam tape to give it dimension.

  9. Step 9

Write "Gesundheit" or "God Bless You" underneath the tissue box in wide print.

  10. Step 10

Add your "get well" sentiments inside the card.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also purchase pre-made base cards and matching envelopes. Card making supplies can be found at most craft stores, in the scrapbooking section.
  • Envision the cube by drawing a box on a piece of scrap paper.
