Rubberstamping has grown in popularity among crafters, just as scrapbooking has. Many rubber stamps lend themselves to a scrapbook page because of their versatility, ease of use and repeatability. Rubber stamped images can be simple or elaborate, sophisticated or fun. Used once on a page or repeatedly, a rubber stamp makes a great, inexpensive page decoration.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ink
  • Rubber stamp
  • Paper
  1. Step 1

Choose a rubber stamp for your page. If it is an unmounted stamp, apply the rubber stamp die to the acrylic, pressing firmly.

  2. Step 2

Tap the ink pad onto the stamp repeatedly, until the stamped image is uniformly covered in ink.

  3. Step 3

Pick up the stamp and place it straight down onto the paper. Do not angle the stamp towards the paper.

  4. Step 4

Press firmly without rocking. Make sure the center of the stamp is pressed firmly so it impresses on the paper.

  5. Step 5

Lift the stamp straight up off the page.

  6. Step 6

Clean the stamp unless you are using it again immediately.

  7. Step 7

Decorate the stamped image with colored pencils, glitter, markers or chalks.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use only acid-free inks for scrapbook pages.
  • Do not rub or wipe the ink pad across the stamped image or ink will gather in the small sections. This will make your image muddy.
  • Do not rock or tilt the stamp when pressing down.
