  1. Step 1

    Call the Historic New Orleans Tours at (504) 947-2120 to get details about various historical tours of New Orleans. They offer several types of tours, including tours of the French Quarter, Garden District and several cemeteries. Most tours last a couple hours, and the rates are very reasonable.

  2. Step 2

    Head to the library. Research about the history of New Orleans, and find which sites and areas of the city are interesting to you.

  3. Step 3

    Consider a haunted tour. New Orleans is often dubbed as America's most haunted city. Explore the haunted side of New Orleans by visiting sites of hauntings, such as The Witch of the French Opera, The Lalaurie Mansion, Anne Rice sites and several other locations.

  4. Step 4
