Get the sword in the cave at the starting point.

Get bombs. They can be found at some stores for 20 rupees or by defeating blue Octorocks or Moblins.

Get the Blue Candle. It can be bought at many stores for 60 rupees.

Go four screens east of the start position. Bomb the wall two steps from the north path and get the Heart Container in the cave.

Step 5
Go to the southeast corner of the big lake, then go west. Burn the fifth tree from the right with the candle and get the Heart Container in the cave.

Step 6
Go one screen west and burn the corner tree. Buy the Magic Shield in the cave for 90 rupees.

Step 7
Go back to the southeast corner of the lake and turn north. Cross the bridge to find the entrance to Level One.

Step 1
Go through the east and west doors from the entrance and defeat the monsters to get keys. Then go north from the entrance.

Step 2
Take the east door to get the compass. Go two doors west, then north and then east to get the map.

Step 3
Go two doors north, then go west. Avoid the traps along the walls, push the far west block in the diamond and go down the stairs to get the bow.

Step 4
Return to the room where you got the map and go east. Defeat the Goriyas to get the boomerang.

Step 5
Go east, then north to find the boss monster, Aquamentus. Make sure your hearts are full.

Step 6
Plant two bombs in front of Aquamentus, one at a time, to defeat him. If you don't have bombs, stand at the other end of the room and fire your sword beam.

Step 7
Take the heart container Aquamentus leaves behind. Go through the east door to get the Triforce.
