How to Purchase Photos at iStockphoto

You have a pressing project that needs some fantastic quality photos but you don't have the time or money to hire a professional photographer. No worries, whether you need one digital photo or thousands, you can buy them from iStockphoto at prices that won't break the bank. Just follow these quick and easy steps.

Things You'll Need:

• Photo credits in your iStockphoto account
• iStockphoto account

1. Log into your iStockphoto account using your member name and password.

2. Enter a keyword in the search bar for the type of digital photo you'd like to search for in the first field, then select "Photographs" from the drop-down menu and click "Go."

3. Search results will be displayed as thumbnail images along with how many total matches are available.

4. Narrow your search if necessary using the common terms or refined keyword suggestions, or search exclusively by color.

5. Click on the photo you want to purchase. The image will be displayed along with file details and a download link for the photo.

6. Chose the desired image size and resolution and click on the corresponding "Download" button. Read the Content Licensing Agreement and click "Agree" to continue to the final download page.

7. Click "Download." The digital photo downloading process will begin and the corresponding photo credits will be deducted from your iStockphoto account.

Tips & Warnings

• You will need to have photo credits in your account to purchase and download photos.
• You have 24 hours to re-download the same image and size if necessary at no additional charge.
• If something goes wrong and you cannot download the image, just contact Client Relations from the Support link. They'll email the file to you or refund the download credits to your account.
