Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Mixed Martial Arts Gear
  • Training Partner
  1. Step 1

Maintain a solid base from side control. If you do not pay attention and give your opponent too much space, it might allow them to escape from the bad position in which you have them.

  2. Step 2

Rotate your hips towards the other fighter's head. Keep pressure across their chest to maintain control of their upper body.

  3. Step 3

Trap the arm of your opponent that is closest to you. This is done by pulling the arm close to your chest.

  4. Step 4

Pop up onto the balls of your feet and swing your outside leg over their head. This should be done in one smooth motion. Make sure to maintain control of the trapped arm.

  5. Step 5

Keep your other leg tucked slightly under your opponent's body just under their arm pit.

  6. Step 6

Position the opponent's thumb pointing up and keep the trapped arm tight to your chest.

  7. Step 7

Thrust your hips forward. This will cause an extreme amount of pressure on your opponent's elbow and forearm area. They will either have to tap in submission or risk a serious arm injury.

Tips & Warnings
  • Practice this technique over and over again. It can take some practice to get the movements to flow smoothly.
  • Be careful when practicing this technique with a training partner. It can cause serious injury which could take months to fully heal.
