After touring U.S. 89 and visiting Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park, the next destination is Grand Teton National Park, the pride of Wyoming, and one of the most beautiful mountain venues in the world.

From Quick Guide: Grand Teton Guide
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check the National Geographic Web site (see below), one that offers the full flavor of this park.

  2. Step 2

Check the National Park Service Web site (see below) for up to the minute conditions and activities.

  3. Step 3

Make reservations for your second night of the tour if you did not stay in Yellowstone National Park. Jackson Wyoming has an abundance of popular accommodations.

  4. Step 4

Enter Grand Teton Park at the south Yellowstone entrance. There is an information station at the Flagg Ranch, but the park headquarters and the only visitor center that is open year around is at the southern end of the park at the Moose Visitor Center.

  5. Step 5

Decide whether you want to continue south by staying on route 89 or turning onto the Teton Park Road at Jackson Lake Junction. The Teton Park Road rejoins Route 89 at Moose Junction. It has access to hiking trails and biking trails. However, the scenic views are majestic from route 89 as well. All of the Web sites discuss both roads.

  6. Step 6

Make reservations in the Salt Lake City area for your third night's lodging. From there, you will be able to leave for the next destination, Bryce Canyon National Park.
