Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Meet the criteria to register. You must be at least 18 years of age on or before Election Day, be a resident of Arkansas who is not registered in another county, not be a convicted felon (unless your civil rights are restored) and not be declared mentally incompetent by a court of law.
Step2
Apply in person or by mail, whichever is most convenient for you. Applications can by picked up a various local agencies across the state or printed online.
Step3
Read the instructions on the form and fill it out using black ink. Remember to print legibly on the form.
Step4
Submit the form by mail to the local county clerk or the Arkansas Secretary of State Elections Division. The application must be received within 21 days of the date on the application and within 30 days of the next election.
Step5
Make sure the State Elections Division office receives your application or it is postmarked 30 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election.
Step6
Consider yourself registered to vote only when you have received confirmation in the mail. This could take several weeks regardless of the registration method you choose.
Step7
Check your certificate carefully for errors. Correct any errors and return it to your local county clerk or the Arkansas Secretary of State Elections Division immediately.
