1. Wet hair thoroughly. Mousse works best when hair is wet. Soak up any excess water with a towel.

2. Comb the hair before applying mousse. Mousse will slide easier through the hair if there are no tangles.

3. Shake the mousse bottle vigorously to turn the mousse into foam; otherwise you will be stuck with watery mousse.

4. Apply a small amount of mousse to the palm of your hand and rub your hands together.

5. Create volume by evenly distributing the mousse throughout your hair and then blow drying. To create a "scrunch style," squeeze just the hair ends with some mousse in your palm and let the hair dry.
