Things You'll Need:
- Plain yogurt
- Avocado
- Mayonnaise
-
Step 1
Mix fresh avocado and mayonnaise. It may seem like you are making a dip, but it is actually an excellent conditioner for your hair. The vitamin B6 and vitamin E that are found in avocado and the fat and oil in the mayonnaise will penetrate you hair to leave it radiant and beautiful.
-
Step 2
Crush one avocado with 1/2 cup of mayonnaise in a small bowl to form a paste. Apply the mixture to your hair. Do not apply close to roots as it is too oily for your scalp. Make sure to spread the mixture throughout your hair, paying special attention to the ends.
-
Step 3
Leave the paste on your hair for 20 to 30 minutes to get the full benefits of the vitamins. Rinse with cool water and style your hair normally.
-
Step 4
Use this deep conditioning avocado and mayonnaise treatment once a week to keep your hair in good condition.
-
Step 5
Substitute yogurt for mayonnaise. If you find that the mayonnaise is too oily for your hair type, substituting plain yogurt will work instead. The yogurt still has conditioning effects like mayonnaise but will not leave your hair greasy. Use the same procedure as with the mayonnaise conditioner.

on 9/25/2007 My hair is completely dead. I had to get the color stripped to dye it back to my natural color, and of course, in the process it became totally dead. There's no life to it at all and I can't do anything with it because it gets frizzy and dull when it dries. I don't use driers or straighteners, and I use a leave-in conditioner after I shampoo it, but nothing is helping. It's getting to the point where I want to chop it completely off but I know I wouldn't leave the house, so what exactly can I do to make my hair healthy again?
