Playing video games is always better with friends. Online play is enjoyable, but there is nothing quite like playing in a room with 15 other buddies eating pizza and staying up way too late. The Xbox360 is easy to use for a LAN party if you have the right supplies.

Instructions

    • 1

Select a date and time for your party.

    • 2

Search for some friends who have the Xbox360 and make sure you have or can borrow one additional Xbox.

    • 3

Call your buddies and see who is willing to bring a television.

    • 4

Tell everyone when the party is and invite enough people to host a fun-filled evening.

    • 5

Clear out a large room of your house so there is a plenty of room for everyone to setup.

    • 6

Plan where people will put the televisions, where they will sit and where they will get power from.

    • 7

Purchase a hub with enough ports to connect the amount of Xbox360 consoles you plan to host, as well as enough link cables to connect everyone's Xbox360 to your hub.

    • 8

Order plenty of refreshments and food.

Tips & Warnings

  • Fridays and Saturdays are best because people can stay later.

  • The bigger and better quality televisions you have the better. If you have high-definition televisions they are preferred over standard definition televisions.

  • Make sure you have enough power outlets for everyone.

  • Having enough room is essential to a good Xbox360 party, but keeping everyone within earshot is important too. Half the fun is yelling and screaming at each other all evening.

  • Make sure you have enough copies of whatever game you plan on playing.

  • Give people plenty of advanced notice, and guests about the party a few days before. It isn't quite a party if only a few people show up!
