Instructions

    • 1

Get different colored cardstock. Cardstock is thicker than a plain piece of paper. It will help with the stability of the bookmark.

    • 2

Cut the colored cardstock paper into rectangles, approximately 2 by 4 inches. This size can vary depending on the planned decoration for the bookmark.

    • 3

Decorate the cardstock with stamps, stickers and/or personal pictures. Special notes and poems can also be added. Use a glue stick to add pictures and poems.

    • 4

Use scissors to cut two pieces of clear contact paper and put the bookmark in between. This will help protect the bookmark and keep the pictures and poems from slipping.

    • 5

Take a hole punch and put a hole at the top of the bookmark. This can also be done with different shaped hole punches to add a bit of decorative style.

    • 6

Embellish the bookmark with decorative string or yarn. This will help you locate the bookmark easier in the book.
