Beyblades is an exciting action board game based on the manga (Japanese animation) of the same name. In it, you and your opponent battle for supremacy in a Beystadium, sending your Beyblade into battle to see who is the champion. The game has simple mechanics, but is fun to play for younger children. You'll need to buy components separately, but it's fun to collect the different Beyblades and stadiums.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Beystadium
  • Beyblades
Step1
Place the Beystadium on the floor or somewhere where the Beyblades will not fall too far. Don't play Beyblades on an elevated surface or you could end up damaging your Beyblades if they escape the Beystadium.
Step2
Spin your Beyblade into the stadium after counting down "3, 2, 1, Let It Rip!" This is the signal that the battle has begun!
Step3
Score 1 point whenever your opponent's Beyblade doesn't land in the Beystadium.
Step4
Score 1 point whenever your opponent touches you while sending out your Beyblade. Touching during launch is not allowed.
Step5
Try to keep your Beyblade out of the penalty boxes. If your Beyblade enters a penalty box three times, your opponent scores 2 points and vice versa. You can never earn more than 2 points for the penalty box.
Step6
Keep your Beyblade spinning longer than your opponent's. You score 1 point whenever your top is the last one spinning in the Beystadium.
Step7
Score 3 points whenever your opponent touches the Beystadium, and vice versa. The battle is immediately over and a new battle begins.
Step8
Keep playing Beyblades until one player has accumulated 7 or more points. Whoever has the most points when points are tallied is the winner!
Step9
Play special abilities to gain an advantage. For example, play "Dragoon Storm" to make your opponent launch her Beyblade using their opposite hand (a lefty would launch with her right hand, for example).
Step10
Customize your Beyblades by building your own. It's possible to interchange parts for your Beyblades to create the ultimate warrior. Change out a lighter weight for a higher one, or add more blades to your Beyblade to increase the chance of knocking an opponent out of the stadium.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use heavier weights against lighter opponents as you have the best chance of using their light mass to your advantage. You're far more likely to knock lighter Beyblades out of the Beystadium with heavier Beyblades.
  • Parents should be aware that Beyblades do have small parts that could be a choking hazard, so children under 4 should not play Beyblades without supervision.
