Subtly mark a spot in the ground so you can easily find where you've buried your dinosaur fossil, if you choose to bury one outside. It is not necessary to do so to enjoy a dinosaur excavation kit.
If you do decide to dig up a dino fossil from outside, wash it thoroughly before bringing it into the house.
