You can get a professional numerology reading, but why not have a reading of your own with friends? Find out their true personalities, and what jobs and love hold in store for all of you in the future. Numerology is an easy-to-learn science of the numbers that make up birthdates and other personal identifiers. Learn your energetic numbers at a reading with friends, and share the results together later on.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Paper and pen for each friend
  • Book or Internet references

How to Have a Numerology Reading

Step1
Prepare by getting the information you will need about numerology from an online or book reference (see Resources below). Then decide which aspect you want to focus on or if you want a basic, general character reading.
Step2
Find out how numerology can pair you with optimum personality types. Use the group you have assembled to practice number compatibility.
Step3
Determine your primary personal number using the numeric day of your birth. If you were born on the third, it would be 3. If the number has two digits, such as 19 or 24, add them together until you arrive at a "core" number between 1 and 9. So, 19 would be 1+9=10, and 1+0=1. Twenty-four would be 2+4=6.
Step4
Use a trusted reference, such as Astrology-Numerology.com to look up the personality traits associated with each primary number (see Resources below). Write them down.
Step5
Find compatible numbers (such as odds with odds and evens with evens) from your reference. Make a chart of the compatible numbers in your group, or just make a note of them on your pages to share later.
Step6
Examine the complementary qualities of the "compatibles" in your group and discuss how numerology can help you find harmonious relationships with friends.

Tips & Warnings

  • Read up on numerology before your reading so you'll be able to guide your friends through the process.
  • Choose one aspect of numerology to focus on for a theme reading, such as names, best careers or "soul mate" compatibility.
  • Advanced math skills are not necessary, but a willingness to share (if reading with a group) is.
  • Let your friends know that numerology is not meant to predict the future, but to guide choices and actions toward what best suits the individual.
  • The good news is that those who practice numerology may achieve a clearer view of their future destination.
  • Some numerology terms differ according to which system or numerologist you study, so this article uses the most common terminology.
