Step 1
Avoid handling the dice with both hands or passing them back and forth between hands. Each casino differs when it comes to certain etiquette protocols, but generally, the only way you may be allowed to handle the dice with both hands is to set them on the table, pull your hands away and then pick them up again with the other hand.
-
Step 2
Try to toss (not throw) the dice below the eye level of the dealers at the craps table. You are also expected to toss the dice so that they strike the wall at the opposite end of the table.
-
Step 3
Remember that it's considered an act of provoking bad luck to say the word "seven" once the come out roll has been thrown. (This is one reason why there are so many nicknames for dice rolls in craps.) However, it is acceptable to say "Come on, Big Red" instead.
-
Step 4
Remove your hands from the rail when a shooter is getting ready to roll the dice. The stickman will often prompt you to do so by yelling, "Hands high!"
-
Step 5
Never set food or drink on the craps table.
-
Step 6
Know that tipping at the craps table is acceptable and appreciated. However, since many dealers are women, avoid offering the tip with the traditional phrase, "for the boys." Instead, be more politically correct by tossing your tip chips on the table and saying, "for the house."
-
Step 7
Understand that dealers are not allowed to have physical contact with any player. Don't hand money to a dealer or expect a dealer to hand you chips. Just place your money on the table when placing a bet and pick up your chips when the dealer places them in front of you.

Step 8

on 8/11/2008 when a tips is thrown in it should be "for the crew" or the dealers. Don't tell them to say "for the house".
