Things You'll Need:
- Storage pocket or envelope
-
Step 1
Put special memorabilia in an envelope or pocket and glue it right on the album page. Specially-made pockets and envelopes, in both see-through and vellum, are available at most craft and scrapbooking stores.
-
Step 2
Make your own pocket to store memorabilia. You can use speciality fabric or paper to construct an envelope or pocket in about 10 minutes. You can also cut the pocket off an old pair of pants or jeans for a creative look.
-
Step 3
Use ties to secure jewelry and tags in your album. This is a unique way to store special items and gives your scrapbook pages more depth and character.
-
Step 4
Look at keepsake display boxes. These three-dimensional boxes allow you to store memorabilia too bulky for normal scrapbook pages. The see-through design is perfect for displaying special memories. You can also use the clear plastic exterior to make notes, such as 'My First Concert' or 'My Trip to Disneyland.'
-
Step 5
Take pictures of items too large to put in your album. For example, concert tee-shirts, musical instruments, stuffed animals and works of art can all be included in your scrapbook when you take pictures to create pages around.
-
Step 6
Search for page protectors with built-in memorabilia envelopes. Page protectors are a necessity in scrapbooking anyway, so it just makes sense to find one with its own storage pocket.
