Instructions

  1. Play Peg Solitaire

    • 1

Set up the board with pegs in every hole except the center hole.

    • 2

Jump one peg with another peg and then remove the peg that was jumped. You can play in any order and move any peg as long as the jumping peg moves into an open hole.

    • 3

Avoid stranding pegs by leaving them far away from other pegs. Try to jump pegs in such a way that another peg is within reach.

    • 4

Play on the computer by clicking and dragging the pegs to jump over other pegs. The computer removes the jumped peg and resets the board for you.

    • 5

Win the game by jumping all of the pegs until there is only one peg left. Preferably, the last peg should end up in the center hole that was vacant at the beginning of the game.

    Try Peg Solitaire Variations

    • 6

Play the easiest variation of Peg Solitaire. Start with 6 pegs in the form of a cross and play down to one peg.

    • 7

Take the difficulty to the next level with the plus pattern. Use 9 pegs to create a big plus sign with 2 single peg lines.

    • 8

Beat the fireplace peg pattern. Create the pattern by making 3 columns with the outer columns containing 4 pegs and the middle column containing 3 pegs.

    • 9

Jump through the pyramid pattern which is formed by using 7 pegs for the bottom layer, five pegs for the next layer, 3 pegs and then one peg at the top of the pyramid.

    • 10

Shoot through the arrow pattern. Make this pattern with 2 rows of 3 pegs at the bottom of the board, 2 vertical pegs in the middle board (middle of the 2 rows) and a mini-pyramid with rows of 5, 3 and 1 peg.

    • 11

Play the diamond pattern. Form the pattern by creating a diamond shape with a peg missing in the center. You will need to use 24 pegs.
