Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Treats
  1. Step 1

Gather up some treats that your dog really loves. You may have to try a few out to find just the right kind.

  2. Step 2

Before you give the command stand, make sure you have your dog's attention. Always get your dog's attention before you give any command. Once your dog is looking at you, hold a treat close to your dog's nose.

  3. Step 3

As your dog focuses on the treat, move the treat forward and have your dog follow it. As your dog follows the treat give the command stand.

  4. Step 4

Once your dog is in the stand position, release the treat and praise your dog.
