Things You'll Need:

• Skinning Knife
• Time

1. Start at Level 5, get the Professions: Skinning and Mining. Then get a skinning knife and mining pick (these are essential in both professions)

2. Go around where ever you are at and look for copper mines, for that is what you will be mining until you get higher level, also look for beasts level 5 and up, kill and skin as much as you can.

3. Next Go Check the prices for Stacks of Copper Bars and Light Leather on the auction house on your server. Once you get the prices for the stack go onto the next step.

4. Once you have found the prices, put your stack(s) up for sale on the Auction House, people need the leather for other professions so they will buy it from the Auction House. Also if you want to, try and make friends with a Blacksmith, they need leather to make stuff in their profession.

5. While your stack(s) are on the auction house, go around where you were before and keep killing and mining for more stack(s) of Copper and Leather.
   Once you get higher level in Mining and Skinning and you get different types of leather and Ore, sell them for more on the Auction House, and remember, your Blacksmith friend still needs leather.

6. Once you have earned the amount of money you need or want, you can drop one profession and pick another that goes with one of your professions, or if you want you can keep getting money from those two professions.

Tips & Warnings

• Remember: You need a skinning knife and mining pick to get leather and ore.
• To get more buyouts, you can slightly lower your prices from the norm, you will get less money, but more money over time from more people buying
• Your Blacksmith Friend will ask for more leather if you are close and bargain him, remember to be polite
• Don't go into areas that are high above your level, the creatures there will kill you before you kill them.
• Make sure you are in a safe place that is your faction, don't go into other faction's zone

on 10/3/2009 While it is a good method for beginners, if you really want to make profit, you need to get auctioneer and scan the auction regularly, simply seeing what something sells for and posting it will cause you to lose profit, not to bad when it is just some silver, but later on it will cause you to lose a lot of money.

on 1/6/2008 although this is a good method, in the end if you try to start a new profession it will be easy. Then it will be annoying and long... you'll say to your self, man i wish i had those bars / leather right now. i shouldn't have sold them. But what the person said is true, this way is very good for making money. The higher level items from those two professions will get you money, how ever what i said will hit you hard when you try to get a profession that you WANT.
