Utah isn't just for skiers. You can also take your tour of Utah off-road. With great sights to see and many areas to cover, an off-road motorcycle tour lets you experience all the fun Utah has to offer. Here are some simple steps to get you started on your adventure.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Riding gear
  • Off-road motorcycle or dirt bike
  1. Step 1

Find out about the Elite Motorcycle Tours off-road touring company (see Resources, below). They can be reached at (435) 259-7621 or through their Web site.

  2. Step 2

You must know how to operate a dirt bike. If you don't, take a beginner's class to learn how. Be prepared to ride for long periods.

  3. Step 3

Find a tour that suits your needs and the needs of other riders in your party. There are day tours and multiday tours available.

  4. Step 4

Pick the date or dates for your tour and pay your deposit. Tours are generally run from March through November on a first come, first serve basis. Booking a custom adventure tour is also possible. Qualified tour guides come with your package.

  5. Step 5

You can bring your own bike, but it must meet the tour company's standards. You also can rent a dirt bike and riding gear.
