How to Make Play Doh

This is a fun activity that you will have fun making.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Flour (any kind)
  • Water
  • Salt (1 tablespoon)
  • Coocking Oil (3 1/2 table spoon)
  • Bowl
  • Large Plate

Step1
Mix all ingredients in bowl and stir.
Step2
Put flour on plate and knead dough on it.
Step3
Once it is no longer sticky add food coloring if wanted, and have fun!

Tips & Warnings

  • This is a great clay use if you add 1 cup of glue.
  • You may also use food coloring to it to give it a unique look.
  • Be careful around children with the Dough because although it will not harm them if swallowed just supervise while they are using.

on 7/16/2007 I was given the same ingredients to make play doh, but we cook it on a stovetop, stirring constantly ( go til you think your arm will drop off, then go for a second more.... it makes nice warm play doh in the winter, and you can add glitter, just make sure the play doh is cool enough not to burn of course, it reatins its heat for some time. When you get play doh where you dont want it ( and believe me you will...drying it with a hair dryer makes it easier to remove. Jen
