Step3
Ask how long they have provided service to your community.
Ask if they carry liability and workers compensation insurance. You want to be protected just in case your technician gets hurt while on your property.
Ask if they hire employees or independent contractors. Companies generally have more control over employees than independent contractors. Consequently, pooper scooper companies that use employees instead of independent contractors to scoop the poop may provide a more consistent service.
What is their policy if waste is missed? Do they back their service with a 100% satisfaction guarantee? When will the yard be re-cleaned if the job is unsatisfactory? Will there still be a charge?
Do they work all year round? What is their snow policy?
What is their rain policy?
What is their vacation policy?
Do they remove the waste or bag it and leave it with you?
Do they disinfect their tools between each yard? This is VERY important because parasites and other harmful organisms can be spread through dog waste.
Will they clean with your dogs outside?
Do they offer prepayment discounts? At DoodyCalls, we offer a 15% discount for one year prepayment.
Do they offer additional treatments such as deck deodorizing?
What are their scooping hours of operation?
Do they clean on the weekends?
What are their office hours of operation?
Do their employees carry GPS tracking units?
Do they conduct background checks on their employees?
Do their employees receive bite prevention training?
