Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- One or Two packets of unsweetened kool-aid (flavor and color of your choice)
- Hair Conditioner
- A Small Bowl
- A Stirring Utensil
- Alot of time
Step1
Make sure you have all the materials. If you don't have any Hair Conditioner, you can use Mayonaisse as a substitute.
Step2
Open the Kool-Aid packet(s), and dump them into the bowl.
Step3
Put enough Hair Conditioner into the bowl as needed to cover the parts of your hair you'd like dyed.
Step4
Mix the Kool-Aid and the Hair Conditioner VERY thoroughly.
Step5

Once the mixture is complete, apply to your hair and leave in your hair AS LONG AS POSSIBLE for the best results.
Step6
Once you cannot have the mixture in your hair any longer, rinse it out. DO NOT SHAMPOO IMMEDIATELY.
Step7
Dry your hair with a blow dryer.
Step8
Me after 1 1/2 hours of leaving the Kool-Aid mixture explained here, in my hair, then rinsing and drying.
Ta-Da! You have just dyed your hair with Kool-Aid!

on 3/1/2008 Yes, you can definitely try the Kool-Aid with your hair. It should work, but you may end up with whatever color you're using plus blue, so remember to do the color math before choosing a color.

on 1/28/2008 I have very faded blue hair from previous dyeing...does this Kool aid method work on faded colors/nearly white hair? (will be wanting to dye it blue still)
