There are a few things you must do before you can ping Yahoo! with your RSS feed. You must be a Yahoo member and logged in, choose one RSS format and publish one version of each, validate your RSS feed before submitting it and verify that the title and description are specific, intelligent and correct. Once you have completed those, you're ready to ping Yahoo with your RSS feed. These steps will get you there.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Navigate to: http://publisher.yahoo.com/submit.php and add your RSS feed in the space provided. Click the Add button. This will allow you to preview your feed. If everything looks good, you can add it to your My Yahoo! page.

  2. Step 2

Use the link provided on the same page by copying it and pasting it into the address bar and clicking Go. It looks like this: http://api.my.yahoo.com/rss/ping?u=[YOUR RSS URL]. Be sure to add your RSS URL between the parentheses.

Place an "Add to My Yahoo!" button on your website and blog so that your readers can subscribe and receive updated content.
