How to Download an MP3 From a Podcast Site

There are thousands of people writing podcasts every day for your listening pleasure. These podcasts can be set up to be downloaded automatically on your iPod or MP3 player. But if you wish to listen to them on your PC, you will need to download them locally.

Instructions

1. Open your favorite web browser and proceed to the podcast of interest.

2. Click on the podcast that you wish to download. Typically this will be a link similar with a .mp3 extension.

3. Your browser will automatically open and start the download. If it does not, right click on the file and click "Save Target As" (this is if you are using Internet Explorer, but the option is "Save Link As" in Firefox).

4. Select the download destination of the file. The desktop is always a handy place.

5. Open the file with your media player once it is finished downloading.

Tips & Warnings

• If you wish to save the MP3, make sure to copy it to a CD after you are finished listening to it.

• If you want, you can link your media player to the file to download and play it later. Just search on eHow for instructions on how to perform this task.

• Make sure to scan the MP3 when you finish downloading it. Viruses can be embedded in the file.
