Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • A Skateboard
  • Safety Gear
  • A Flat Surface
  • Skate Shoes
Step1
Snap the tail against the ground like you would for an ollie.
Step2
Your front foot should be placed in the middle of the board with your toes slightly over the edge.
Step3
As you snap the tail, jump up with the board, kick your front foot straight across the board to make it spin.
Step4
The spin happens when the ball of your foot hits the edge of the board.
Step5
When your front foot extends, bring it back up over the board so that both feet are above the board as it flips.
Step6
As the board completes its flip, you should be descending.
Step7
Place your feet back on the board as it falls to the ground and bend your knees to absorb the impact.

Tips & Warnings

  • The secret to heelflips is to remember that the ball of your foot makes the board spin, not your heel
