Step1
Begin your day with a visit to the Church Street Marketplace, Burlington's outdoor pedestrian shopping mall. In addition to the many shops, there are several coffee shops and bakeries to choose from.
Step2
Head east from Church Street to College Street. This will take you to the shores of Lake Champlain. The walk is mostly downhill, and will take you past more shopping and some historic buildings.

Take a walk by the lake. You'll see New York's Adirondack Mountains across the lake. If you're a biker, consider riding the lakeside trail.

Visit Burlington's aquarium and science center, which is called Echo at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain. Contact Echo at (802) 864-1848.

Tour the grounds of the University of Vermont, one of the oldest Universities in the country. There is a free shuttle to UVM from downtown Burlington.

Visit the Fleming Museum at the University of Vermont. This museum is home to a collection of fine art and cultural relics. Contact the museum at (802) 656-0750.
