Skydiving is the ultimate adrenaline rush. You get to jump out of an airplane, free fall, and then glide to the ground with the help of a parachute. Beginners often jump with an instructor (called a tandem jump). If you are interested in adding an extreme edge to your next vacation, start planning your skydiving adventure.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide where you are going to take your vacation. Do some research online to find a skydiving school in the area. Look online or ask the concierge at the hotel where you are staying if they know of a good skydiving company.

  2. Step 2

If you are a beginner, choose a skydiving school that does tandem dives.

  3. Step 3

Make reservations. Be sure to ask about clothing and shoe requirements so you'll know what to pack. Generally, you'll be asked to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You will probably be provided with a jump suit, helmet and goggles.

  4. Step 4

Arrive early to fill out paperwork and to receive pre-jump instructions. After pre-jump instruction, you may be required to pass a test about what you just learned. This is for your own safety.

  5. Step 5

Follow all the instructions and enjoy the ride!

Tips & Warnings
  • Most schools require that skydivers be at least 18.
  • Check with your doctor before you go skydiving.

on 1/14/2008 Also, avoid 1-800-skyride. They are a well known scam in the skydiving world, unfortunately people who aren't experienced jumpers don't generally know this.
